Kuwait police nab 3 smugglers with hashish, narcotic pills

KUWAIT CITY: Special Task Force members from the office of the Ministry of Interior’s Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Abdul Fattah Al- Ali arrested three expatriates smugglers in Hawally for possessing a roll of hashish.

The arrest happened when the officers noticed the unusual behavior of the expatriates who were referred to the concerned security department for legal action. Meanwhile, the same team arrested two citizens for the possession of nine syringes and narcotic substances. When the officers checked the security records of both citizens, they discovered the two suspects are wanted by law for humiliating an employee in Hawally.

Another citizen was arrested in Hawally for the possession of 10 narcotic pills and a roll of hashish. He was referred to the Drug Control General Department for the necessary legal measures. Meanwhile, an unknown individual who was driving a 4×4 vehicle that was heavily-tinted escaped from a security checkpoint in Salmiya area, reports Al- Rai daily. Reportedly, the motorist sped as he approached the security checkpoint and then drove in the opposite direction of the road. Investigations are ongoing to find and arrest him.
