Dnata, PIA still charging extra fees from importers, clearing agents

KARACHI: Gerry’s Dnata and PIA are charging extra fee from importers and clearing agents on imported consignments in terms of demerge and godown’s charges at Karachi Airport Terminal. Due to this practice importers and clearing agents are facing difficulties for clearing their consignments.

According to the sources there was a facility of clearing consignments round the clock and that facility was almost ended five years ago, but PIA and Gerry’s Dnata still charging the rates of 24 hours facility.
