LCCI election: Industrialists, traders laud arrangements for voters

LAHORE: Industrialists and traders of all groups have lauded measures taken by the management of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) to hold corporate class election 2016.

Azad Group General Secretary Mian Shabir Ahmad told Customs Today that he was appointed as polling agent by the Progressive and Lahore Businessmen Front Alliance (PLBFA).

“By the grace of Allah Almighty everything goes very well and peacefully as the LCCI management has taken far-reaching measures, besides voters are being properly guided to their entire satisfaction,” he stated, adding that opponents were very well satisfied so far as the management of the election was concerned.

PML-N Traders Wing Punjab President Mian Muhammad Ali said that election has become very transparent and fair as candidates’ pictures have also been printed on the ballot papers.

Sheikh Arshad presidential candidate of the LCCI president informed that none of the side has made any objection so far and we are more than satisfied with the arrangements.

PMLN-Traders Wing Lahore President Nasir Saeed and Former president LCCI Sheikh Asif, said that none of group was complaining and objecting which is the testimony of the fact that that arrangement are satisfactory.

Progressive and Lahore Businessmen Front Alliance‘s Abdul Wadood Alvi also expressed his satisfaction over the corporate class LCCI election arrangement.

LCCI general secretary Shahid Khalil said LCCI election had been a challenge and this year particularly security measures have also been taken.

On the instructions of LCCI President Ijaz A Mumtaz, vice president and senior vice president took on board to the CCPO Lahore and police station concerned to keep things under control.

Leaders of the groups were themselves guiding the voters to the vote casting points and thus we are able to conduct the corporate class election successfully.

In order to facilitate the 2600 corporate class voters, the LCCI management has installed computers and other infrastructure including chairs, tables and cable and temporary shed besides in order to avoid any untoward incident and ensure fool proof security police personnel’s were also deployed.
