Taxpayers directed to display NTN on business places to avoid action

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) Multan has directed the commercial taxpayers to display their sales tax registration and national tax number (NTN) on their shops, offices and factories to avoid inconvenience.

The RTO said that stern actions will be taken on non-compliance of the orders as the commissioner Multan Zone has formed special teams for this purpose.

The RTO) has taken this step to identify non-registered taxpayers so that the taxpayers and non-payers could be differentiated. It is learnt that on the directions of the Commissioner RTO Multan, Zubair Bilal, the special teams have been formed to implement the orders.

The teams will take the stern actions against the non-compliances and pinpointed the non-registered taxpayers as they have been instructed to enhance the tax net. The teams will visit the big trade centres of the city along with the industrial zone of Multan to recognize the non-registered tax payers as well as they will take the strict actions against the non-tax payers.
