HAVANA: Uruguay emphasizes its willingness to cooperate and deepen its trade and cultural relations with Cuba, said today to the Cuban press Antonio Carámbula, executive director of the Institute for the Promotion of Investments and Exports of the South American country.
Such an arrangement is reflected in the arrival in November of a major business delegation headed by the Uruguayan Minister of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries, Tabaré Aguerre, to the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV), Carámbula added.
Carámbula himself held in Havana several business meetings to exchange experiences and explain to Cuban businessmen the export culture of his country. In this context, the Uruguayan official was interested in areas of Special Zone Development Investment Mariel as a potential platform.
