Karachi Port Trust expects arrival of 11 ships

KARACHI:  The Karachi Port Trust has been expecting 11 ships by October 27, including four oil tankers; two gearless container vessels, one geared container vessel, two general cargo vessels, a vessel laden with 55,000 tons of wheat imports, a loader ship to lift 19,500 tons of cement export cargo, four tankers carrying 3,000 Base Line Oil, 10,000 Jet Oil and 20,000 tons of Mogas imports plus oil tanker to lift 3,500 tons of ethanol exports.

Four of these vessels are expected to arrive at the KPT today. These include gearless vessel Cosco Kawasaki which is carrying 600 containers of import cargo would lift 600 containers of export cargo. The oil tanker Chembulk Singapour also expected to arrive today, with 3,000 tons of Base Oil imports.

Meanwhile, three vessels High Prosperity, ACX Crystal and Nathan Brandon are loading Naptha, unloading and loading containers and discharging DAP respectively. These vessels are scheduled to depart today.

General cargo vessel King Brave and Atalandi, which are also expected to arrive today, are carrying 9,091 and 55,000 tons of general cargo imports respectively.
