List of near 38,000 growers compiled for relief package

SARGODHA: The list of more than 37,000 growers has been compiled after a survey and sent to the provincial government for relief package.

This was revealed by District Coordination Officer (DCO) Saqib Manaan, while addressing a meeting. He said that agriculture relief package would prove to be a milestone toward prosperity of farmers as a list of 37,758 growers has been compiled for this package.

He said that a list has been compiled after a thorough inspection, adding that any farmer which meet the criteria can contact to Additional District Collector office for inclusion of his name.

The meeting was disclosed that seven Window Operation Centres at various points in the district while a payment centre will also be established at each Tehsil while NADRA has been asked to ensure a mobile van at each payment centre for verification.

The DCO said that distribution of relief amount would be started within few days for which almost 400 centres including Sargodha would be established in the province while transportation and sitting arrangements will also be provided to the farmers.
