KARACHI: The country’s total foreign exchange reserves have reached $18,500.8 million ($18.5 billion) on week ended Sept 18.
According to the central bank, the foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan stood at $13,496.2m, net foreign reserves held by banks are $5,004.6m, thus total liquid foreign reserves reached at $18,500.8m.
During the week ending 18 September 2015, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by $194 million to $13,496 million, compared to $13,690 million in the previous week. Decrease in reserves is on account of external debt servicing during the week.
