The Joint Forces Command of Coalition for Supporting the legitimacy in Yemen announced that it foiled an attempt by Al Houthi militia to smuggle weapons on an Iranian fishing boat.
A statement released by the Coalition Command today said that the coalition intercepted an Iranian ship, 150 miles southeast of the Omani city of Salalah last Saturday, reported Saudi Press Agency, SPA.
The Coalition Command said that the ship was carrying 14 Iranians, led by Captain Bakhsh Jakal, and a search uncovered a number of shells and rockets which were seized, including 18 missiles, anti-armours, and 54 anti-tank shells.
The Command pointed out that the ship was registered under Hogan Mohammed Hout, an Iranian, and carried a fishing boat licence issued by the Iranian authorities.
