Tax evasion: RTO Multan takes action against Al-Hamd Textile Mills ‏

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue Regional Tax Office Multan booked the Al-Hamd Textile Mills Limited in tax evasion of Rs 5.3 million.

According to details, Regional Tax Office Multan issued several notices to Al-Hamd Textile Mills Limited for the payment of their outstanding taxes. Regional Tax Office Multan served a final tax notice to Al-Hamd Textile Mills Limited a few days ago for the payment of their taxes.

After their failure to clear outstanding taxes, a team of the tax enforcement cell raided mill office. The Regional Tax Office attached their moveable and immoveable property for the recovery of due taxes.

Al-Hamd Textle Mills’s office is located in Multan Cantt which is dealing in cotton blended yarn, cotton waste and manufactures other textile byproducts. The record of the said office was also taken into custody for further action against them.

Commissioner Regional Tax Office Multan Zubair Bilal, who is holding the charge of Multan Zone, took the action against Al-Hamd Textile Mills for the recovery of outstanding amount of worth Rs 5.3 million.

The Regional Tax Office Multan has started the crackdown against the tax evaders and defaulters in the wake of recovery for their outstanding taxes. It is also expected that few more actions would be taken against the tax avoiders in the upcoming days for the recovery of their taxes.
