BEIJING: Chinese giant Huawei is all set to launch the flagship phone in its Honor series – called Honor 7 – at an event in New Delhi today. Launched in August in China, the phone is set to enter the India markets today according to the company.
The Huawei Honor 7 sports a 5.2-inch full HD display and houses its own Kirin 935 SoC which has an octa-core processor along with 3GB of RAM. The phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and as is the case with Honor phones we have seen in the past, it comes with the Emotion UI 3.1 skin atop the Android OS. The phone sports a unibody metal design.
The launch price of the Honor 7 in China was CNY 1,999 (approx Rs 20,500) for the 16GB variant, CNY 2,199 (approx Rs 23,000) for the 16GB dual-SIM variant and CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 26,000) for the 64GB variant. The phone also comes with a microSD card slot for you to expand the storage.
One of the unique features of the Honor 7 is that it comes with a finger-print scanner on the rear side just below the camera. It sports a 20MP rear camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera. While the rear camera has a dual-tone LED flash unit, Huawei has added a front-facing flash as well.
We will update the copy as soon as we get to know the Indian prices for the phone
