Sales tax evasion: PRA seals Fri Chicks and three other restaurants

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority is tightening its rope against the defaulters of sales and services tax and sealed some famous restaurants of the city.

According to sources, a team of PRA, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Zaka Ullah, sealed a branch of Fri Chicks situated at Taj Bagh area. During another action, the PRA team sealed Fri Chicks branch in Bahria Town.

The Punjab Revenue Authority teams also raided Johar Town and sealed Shinwari Restaurant in sales tax evasion. The same team sealed a restaurant in Y Block of Defense Housing Authority.

According to sources, the Punjab Revenue Authority took this action against defaulters after getting credible information. These restaurants were involved in evasion of sales tax amounting to millions of rupees and now after action of PRA these restaurants will be under strict observation and PRA can manage its sales record at its own if needed in future.
