RAWALPINDI: A meeting to review the progress on Metro Bus Project was held Friday in Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).
The meeting was jointly chaired by Hanif Abbasi, ex-MNA, and Capt. (Retd) Zahid Saeed, Commissioner, Rawalpindi Division/Director General, RDA. Mrs.Tahira Aurangzeb MNA, Shakeel Awan, former MNA, Zia Ullah Shah, former MPA, Chief Engineer RDA, Project Manager NESPAK and other relevant officers and contractors of the project attended the meeting.
Packages-I and III Rawalpindi and package IV & V Islamabad were discussed threadbare. Views were exchanged that how to execute ongoing work on fast track basis. The delay because of sit-ins in Islamabad was also discussed.
However, the Project Managers of packages I & III Rawalpindi and package IV Islamabad assured that they will complete the works by 25th December 2014. As far as, work on package V Islamabad is concerned a separate meeting will be held shortly to work-out the strategy before completion of work along with other packages.
Zahir Khan, proprietor of M/s.ZKB and Waseem Afzal, proprietor M/s.Reliable (construction companies), also attended the meeting and assured that all resources will be deployed to complete the project in time.
