Hyderabad ASO impounds Toyota Land Cruiser worth Rs 1.5 million

HYDERABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Hyderabad has seized a non-duty paid Toyota Land Cruiser V8 worth Rs 1.5 million.

As per details, the ASO team following the directions of Collector Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Hyderabad, Dr Ahmed Mujtaba Memon conducted a raid under the supervision of Additional Collector Umer Shafique.

The ASO team comprising Superintendent Sikandar Ali Phanwar, Inspector Khair Mohammad Pathan, Momin Shah and Sepoy Mohammad Sadiq intercepted a vehicle bearing registration No. BF-7003 at Bbadin near Tlahar.

The team asked the driver to produce the documents showing the legal import of the vehicle but he remained fail; therefore, the customs officials took the vehicle into their custody.
