LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling approved judicial remand of the suspects who were arrested by the Customs authorities at Allama Iqbal International Airport.
According to details available to Customs Today, Muhammad Tariq was coming from abroad while he was booked by the Customs airport authorities. During checking of their luggage, the Customs team seized auto parts of precious vehicles worth more than Rs 1 million.
Customs officials produced him before the Court after completion of 14 days judicial remand where Court sends him to jail for fourteen days more. Bail plea of Tariq is also under process which will be heard during next week.
The Customs authorities registered a case against suspects under Pakistan Customs Act. The Customs Court also directed the authorities to complete their investigations challan as soon as possible.
