PQA finds another staff member involved in misdeclaration of goods

KARACHI: A case has been lodged again another staff member at Port Qasim Authority (PQA) who was involved in clearing of consignments by mis-declaration of goods.
Source told Customs Today that on the instructions of Director of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Asif Marghoob, a team was constituted to scrutinize the mis-declaration at PQA which caused a loss of Rs 1.2 million to national kitty.
The sources further revealed that the staff member was identified as Malik Hussain who was posted as examiner at PQA and a case was lodged against him.
Further proceedings are still in progress till the filing of this report.
