OTTAWA: Cocaine, MDMA and other drugs were seized and three people were arrested in raids that followed a three-week investigation, Ottawa police said.
The simultaneous raids by drug unit and tactical team officers took place Thursday at residences in the 700 block of Malibu Terrace, near Baseline and Fisher Avenue, and nearby in the 1200 block of Meadowlands Drive East.
Police said they found nearly two kilograms of cocaine, a kilogram of MDMA (also known as molly or ectasy) and 6.6 kilograms of marijuana as well as smaller quantities of crack cocaine, cannabis resin and psilocybin.
They also seized 125 cannabis-oil vaporizers, 5,600 “male performance enhancement” pills, nearly $20,000 in cash, a new Infiniti Q50 sport sedan and a five-year-old Acura sport-utility.
Two men, Dung Chu, 32, and Heman Ha, 33, and a 32-year-old woman, Kiera Le, all of Ottawa, face charges including drug trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime. All were in custody pending court appearances.
