KARACHI: The Ministry of Finance (MF) has set a revenue collection target for Pakistan Railways (PR) worth Rs 15, 689 million for the Fiscal Year 2015-16.
The sources told Customs Today, PR has to collected Rs 10,175 million as freight cargo fares and Rs 5,514 million as passenger trains fares. PR has also collected Rs 7,220 million against target of Rs 4,359 million as freight fares for transportation of cargoes.
The sources further told that the revenue would hopefully be increased because the freights trains are being paid special attention besides the Pakistan Customs has also developed a system ensuring ferrying of goods by rail route.
