Customs Court hears 26 cases, adjourns 10 bail pleas

LAHORE: In the Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling, different cases were scheduled for hearing on Thursday.

The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 26 important cases and adjourned many cases until news date including bail plea of Meer Gull who is in jail on judicial remand in a case of smuggling.

Pre-arrest bail pleas of Abdul Khaliq, Istiaq Ahmad and eight others were also scheduled for Thursday but the Court adjourned all pleas due to some objections.

The Court also proceeded on statements and witnesses in four different cases and adjourned crime framing on four cases of smuggling and tax evasion.

The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for hearing, in which Court ordered prosecution teams to complete investigation challans of the cases as soon as possible.
