Customs Faisalabad confiscates smuggled items worth Rs 2.826 million in first week of October

FAISALABAD: Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO), has confiscated smuggled items worth Rs 2.826 million during the first week of October.
Customs in coordination with ASO Jhang, ASO Sargodha, ASO Mianwali, ASO Sara-e-Muhajir and ASO Faisalabad has seized smuggled items in different raids. The ASO teams has seized imported cloth weighing 1897 kilograms worth Rs 89,67,42 and vehicles worth Rs 3,50,000. The raiding teams have also confiscated 3150 kilograms tea worth Rs 1.159 million and other 360 miscellaneous items worth Rs 540,000.
According to the sources, officials who have taken part in these raids are Deputy Superintendent ASO Ch Muhammad Sardar, Inspector khalid Mehmood, Munir Ahmad, Muhammad Akram, Muhammad Shamshair Hussain, sepoy Saifullah, Ghulam Mohyuddin, Faiz Ahmad, Muhammad Yousaf, Asrar Ahmad and Hafiz Nasir.
Customs has registered cases against culprits and started further investigations in this regard.
