NEW DELHI: The Chittoor Task Force police in the early hours of Thursday seized an SUV along with 13 red sanders logs worth over Rs. 20 lakh under Puthalapattu police station limits, 25 km from here.
Additional SP (Red sanders operations) Y. Ratna said the vehicle and the logs were seized during routine checks on the Tirupati-Bengaluru national highway.
On seeing the raid party, the occupants abandoned the vehicle which was on its way to Chittoor from Tirupati and fled under the cover of darkness. A case was registered.
