KARACHI: The Customs Department has posted two more officers at the Export Processing Zone (EPZ), Karachi, and they will assume their charge after Ashura-e-Muharram.
On the other hand, the Customs Department has also issued office orders for two officers to make sure their attendance on time and cooperation with exporters.
As per details, Customs EPZ has been receiving complaints for few months that there are only two officers deployed at the EPZ for examination of consignments, but these two officers are not taking interest in their work and often come late in the office. They also do not cooperate with exporters.
After receiving complaints, customs Karachi has posted two more officers at the EPZ and directed two previously posted officers to do their duties honestly.
