ISLAMABAD:  The Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Monday reserved its decision on cases filed by employees of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Wasim Hassan and Raja Ishtiaq Ahmed, employees of FBR, have filed the petitions through their counsel Shabbier Ahmed Nasir. The petitioner sought ‘interim relief’ regarding their promotions in the FBR.

a two-member FST bench heard the final arguments and reserved the decision. Petitioners asked the tribunal to ensure their promotion from BPS-14 to BPS-16 by recuperating 100 posts, out of total 200 posts, on which Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) was asked for recruitments by FBR in 2015.

Petitioners approached the tribunal contending that they were supposed to be promoted as they had passed the departmental tests for promotion before the posts were delivered to FPSC for recruitments.
