Peshawar Customs Intelligence seizes smuggled items worth Rs 50m

ISLAMABAD: Directorate Customs Intelligence and Investigation Peshawar has sealed three warehouses, while seizing miscellaneous goods including cloth worth Rs 50 million.

According to the details, information received to Deputy Director of Customs Intelligence Peshawar Khayal Mohammad that smuggled goods worth millions of rupees have been kept at the warehouses near Lari Adda Bara Market, Peshawar.

Therefore, the Director Customs Intelligence Peshawar Asghar Khan issued orders to raid the warehouses.

Deputy Director Khayal Mohammad with the Peshawar police raided the warehouses and recovered smuggled goods worth Rs 50 million.

The sources added that these goods are smuggled from Afghanistan on cycles, motorcycle rickshaws through illegal routes.
