BEIJING: Shanghai stocks slipped soon after opening Tuesday, in line with a broad regional retreat on worries about the global economy fanned by China’s growth slowdown.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.27 per cent, or 9.15 points, to 3,377.55.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong eased 0.13 per cent, or 30.28 points, to 23,045.33.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, eased 0.10 per cent, or 2.06 points, to 1,967.58.
