NAB grants physical remand of nine suspects in embezzlement case of Rs 1.6 billion

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested nine suspects for their alleged involvement in Rs 1.6 billion National Fertilizer Marketing Limited scam. The suspects are arrested on the allegations of misuse of authority, embezzlement and causing loss to national exchequer.

Among the apprehended accused persons are Muneeb Ahmed, Faizan Rasool, Abdul Mannan, Muhammad Tauseef, Salahuddin Shah, Shoaib  Ali Toor, Salman Khan Niazi (marketing officers) , Syed Ejaz Hussain Bukhari (ex regional manager) and Zaheer Afzal Chattha (private dealer).
