Chief Collector Sarwat, Collector Zeba for robustly contesting case against Ayyan

ISLAMABAD: Chief Collector Pakistan Customs-North Sarwat Tahira Habib and Collector Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad Zeba Hai has directed the customs officials to present the solid evidence and arguments against Ayyan Ali in currency smuggling case.

As per details, both high ups held an important meeting to discuss the case and its aspects after the application of counsel for Ayyan, Latif Khosa under Section 265K of Customs Act, seeking her acquittal.

Meanwhile, the counsel for customs has also been advised to prepare arguments against the application for next hearing on October 28.

Talking to Customs Today, Investigation Officer Muhammad Saleem hoped that Ayyan was arrested red handed while smuggling $500,000 to United Arab Emirates (UAE), adding that customs has enough evidence to prove her guilty.

He also termed the applications moved by defence as delaying tactics.
