HONG KONG: Stocks in Hong Kong dipped in the first few minutes of trade Wednesday following a negative lead from Wall Street after a weak batch of data raised concerns about the US economy.
Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong dipped 0.30 percent, or 69.48 points, to 23,073.25.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.50 percent, or 17.33 points, to 3,417.01.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, fell 0.66 percent, or 13.55 points, to 2,030.23.
