JAMMU: Police have arrested a drug smuggler and recovered 238 intoxicant injections and 220 intoxicant tablets from his possession here.
A police party conducted surprise checking at Pacca Danga in the city on Wednesday and intercepted one Deepak Kumar.
During search, 238 intoxicant injections and 220 intoxicant tablets were recovered from him, police said, adding that the accused has been arrested.
In this regard, a case was registered and further investigation is going on, police said.
Meanwhile, police also recovered 24 bottles of rum without excise label from one Rashpal during checking at Maheshwar area in Samba district.
A case has been registered against him and investigation was started.
