Dubai Customs hands out prizes to GITEX 2015  raffle draw winners

DUBAI: The Director of Corporate Communications Department at Dubai Customs Khalil Saqer bin Gharib handed out valuable prizes to raffle draw winners who participated in the opinion poll that was carried out at DC stand in GITEX 2015, held on October 18 to 22.

Tablets were used to survey visitors and get their feedback on Dubai Customs’ smart initiatives and services, showcased at the stand. As many as 1200 people who stopped by DC stand took part in the poll. On the last day of GITEX, Dubai Customs’ team made a raffle draw and announced 15 winners.

“Dubai Customs’ stand at GITEX 2015 was a real magnet of attention for the crowds of visitors and technology enthusiasts who flocked to the exhibit. Visitors expressed their admiration of the high level of organisation and design of the stand and the friendliness of DC’s team who briefed visitors on the services and initiatives being showcased,” Khalil Saqer said.

Under the motto “We innovate to facilitate trade”, Dubai Customs displayed a range of new smart initiatives and services at GITEX 2015, including the smart bag inspection system, customs submarine, amphibious lab-vehicle, smart TV services, smart workspace, Al Barza employee forum and the new website.

This year, Dubai Customs had two stands; one in the Dubai Smart Government Pavilion, and the other in the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation pavilion.
