KARACHI: Four ships carrying containers, chemical and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers terminal and Engro Vopak terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively.
Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers, project cargo and steel coil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 75% at the port on Thursday where total eight ships namely Maersk Semwang, CGM Amazon, Espon Trader, Equisite LNG, Sea Charming, Constitution Sprit, Black Pearl and Chemroad Quest are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers soyabeen LNG, chemical, furnace oil, LPG mix and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 125673 tonnes comprising 102027 tonnes imports and 236446 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2508 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
