ISLAMABAD: The minor penalty of withholding of two annual increments has been imposed on Tarique Aziz, an Inland Revenue Service officer of BS-18, in inefficiency, misconduct and corruption case.
Nausheen Javaid Amjad, (IRS/BS-20), Commissioner-IR, LTU, Karachi, was appointed inquiry officer, who submitted her report with the conclusion that the above mentioned charges of stand proved against the accused officer.
The Authorized Officer/Member(Admn), having examined all aspects of the case, inquiry report, defence of the accused officer during the course of personal hearing found him guilty of the charges and has imposed minor penalty of withholding of two annual increments falling on December, 2015 and 2016 under sub clause (ii) of clause (a) of sub rule (1) of Rule 4 of Government Servants (E&D) Rules, 1973 upon the officer with immediate effect.
However, Tarique Aziz has right to appeal to the Appellate Authority under Civil Servants (Appeal) Rules, 1977 within a period of 30 days from the date of communication of the notification.
