2 Iraqis sentenced for weapons smuggling

BAGHDAD: Security department officers arrested two Iraqis after being discovered by the thermographic camera in while attempting to smuggle weapons through the security fence. Two men were arrested while four escaped back into Iraq. Sixty shotguns were found with those arrested.

Girl saved from burning houseLand Firemen were yesterday dispatched to tackle a fire in an Omariya house, where they found a girl hiding inside a bathroom on the first floor, said security sources. Firemen managed to rescue the girl and hand her over to paramedics for treatment of some hand burns.
