Gujranwala Excise devises plan to recover Rs 310m arrears

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has formulated special recovery teams to ensure the early recovery of the prolonged outstanding dues amounting to Rs 310 million from as many as 40,000 big and small defaulters in Gujranwala.

The excise has decided to seal their properties till the recovery of arrears from them.

According to the Director Excise Rao Shakilur Rehman, the number of the defaulters was 40,000 from which Rs300 million had yet been recovered while the arrears amounting to Rs 310 million were still to be recovered from them including the private schools, academies, colleges, marriage halls, patrol pumps, factories, shopping centers and commercial plazas.

He added that special recovery teams under the supervision of ETOs Fiza Batool and Arshad Majeed has started sealing defaulter commercial buildings.
