ISLAMABAD: In absence of its chairman, the Federal Service Tribunal was in lull as it held hearing of around 22 cases only out of which four were filed by employees of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
FST official stated that only three benches were functioning at tribunal instead of four since the tribunal was running without chairman. At tribunal, chairman office directs on bench formations and other matters and in his absence state of affairs was bearing belatedness, they said.
However, on the weeks last official working day, the tribunal held hearing of four FBR cases filed by Abida Aslam Rathor, Muhammad Hanif, Muhammad Majid Qureshi and Muhammad Naeem Khan.
Bench comprising of members Muhammad Arshad Bhatti and Javed Iqbal Kasi heard cases filed by Majid Qureshi and Naeem Khan.
Another bench comprising of Rafique Hussain Shah and Syed Hamid heard petitions filed by Abida Aslam and Hanif.
