France trade deficit surges by 13.3% to $3.69bn in Sept

PARIS: France’s foreign trade deficit widened by 13.3 percent to 3.4 billion euros (3.69 billion U.S. dollars) in September, as exports reached its lowest level in nine months, according to data published Friday by French customs.

At the end of September, the eurozone’s second largest economy, widened its trade gap by 400 million euros due to falling sales abroad to 37.4 billion euros, down by 0.6 percent on slowing aerospace and manufacturing exports.
