India excise officials foil attempt to smuggle 20kg ganja

TIRUCHIRAPALLI: The excise officials on Sunday arrested two elderly women for trying to smuggle 20 kg of ganja to Tamil Nadu.

The two sisters — Bilkees Abbas (61) and her sister Raziya (70), hailing from Tiruchirapalli, were arrested at Renigunta bypass road and the contraband was seized from their possession. They had alighted from the Tirumala Express at Renigunta station after procuring the ganja from Vizag, squad Inspector Murali Mohan and Sub-Inspector M. Ravikumar said.
