BRASILIA: The signing of a cooperation agreement between the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba and the Federation of Industries of Sao Paulo, Brazil, marked the National Day of the South American country in the XXXIII International Fair of Havana, FIHAV 2015.
Malmierca said that Brazilian companies have great opportunities for investment in Cuba, and reiterated the gratitude for the support of that country in the updating of the economic model.
On the other hand, Cesario Melantonio, Brazilian ambassador to Cuba, noted that this year the presence of companies from his country in Cuba doubled, and noted the growing interest of Brazilian users to settle with their projects in the Special Development Zone Mariel.
As part of bilateral economic relations, he stressed the forthcoming opening of regular flights to Cuba, through the Brazilian airline Gol.
Also from the South American giant, David Barioni, president of the Brazilian Export Promotion Agency APEX-Brasil, highlighted the interest of guiding investment projects towards agribusiness and construction, included in the Cuban Opportunities Portfolio.
