Punjab Revenue Authority issues notice to bring 2,000 people in tax net

SIALKOT: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has issued special notices for bringing as many as 2,000 more people under the tax net in Gujranwala Division, besides establishing the direly needed registration counter at the PRA complex, advising the tax payers to ensure early payment of their taxes.

The notices have been issued in all districts of Gujranwala, including Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din and Hafizabad.

According to the senior officials, the PRA has started a special survey to bring as many as 2000 new people including the hotels, restaurants, marriage halls, property dealers, goods transporters, auto workshops, town planners, architectures, town developers, beauty parlours, car dealers, tiles dealers and sanitary dealers under the tax net here, as the special PRA teams were visiting different sites for this purpose with the help of the local trade bodies as well, in this regard.

On the special directives of Commissioner Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) Abdul Jawad, the PRA teams have issued the notices to 2,000 people, advising them to ensure their registration as per the ratio of their income, besides, paying their sales taxes as well.

The PRA was striving to ensure the early maximum collection of the sales tax , advising them to get their registration with the PRA otherwise their  work places and properties would be sealed after a stipulated period of next two months, the senior PRA officials added.
