SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has sealed as many as 118 properties for prolonged non-payment of their taxes in Gujranwala Division’s all the six Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts.
Director Gujranwala Excise Rao Shakeel ur Rehman told that the excise teams have also impounded as many as 80 different vehicles during a special checking for non-payment of their token fees.
He said that department has been dispatching its daily performance report to the Punjab government on daily basis in a bid to curb the menace of the corruption as hectic efforts were being made to purge the department from corruption, in this regard.
