MULTAN: A two-day workshop on ‘small business management’ is being organised by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) ‘ to impart business skills to aspirants.
The training programme was being organised all over the country in different phases as per instructions from the government to divert small investments to profit-oriented businesses. Smeda Multan official said that higher profits and growth can be achieved through smaller investments in SME sector and can be instrumental in creating more jobs.
The workshop would enlighten new business aspirants on entrepreneurship, business opportunities in Pakistan, identification of sectors where investment was productive and profit-oriented, financing methods for new businesses, Prime Minister’s Youth loan scheme, application of expertise of Smeda, comprehensive planning for new businesses, legal matters, marketing, human resource management and availability of capital, Smeda Multan business coordinator said.
