Faisalabad customs confiscates smuggled items worth 14.114m in first week of November

FAISALABAD: Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I and I) has Confiscated smuggled items worth Rs 14.114 million during the first week of November.

According to the sources, Additional Director Regional Tax Office (RTO) Faisalabad, Azmat Tahira has provided the detailed performance of Faisalabad Customs during the first week of November.

Sources told Customs Today that Faisalabad Customs has seized 15,218 kilograms Chilghoza (pine nuts) worth Rs 12.184 and 298- Crates of Iranian Rani Juice worth Rs 430,000, involving duty and taxes worth Rs 273,050. The raiding party was headed by Muhammad Riaz, Deputy Director I and I.

Furthermore, Faisalabad Customs has seized one vehicle in the first week of November worth Rs 1.5 million. Customs asked the accused to produce any legal documentary evidence for the legal import and lawful possession of the vehicle but accused failed to produce the same.

Customs Intelligence team was consist of Muhammad Tahir iqbal (senior Intelligence officer), Muhammad Mansoor, Muhammad Saeed, Farzsnd Ali (Intelligence officer).
