UK CEO forum appeals to Prime Minister to imporve business environment better in India

LONDON: Ahead of Narendra Modi’s arrival in Britain, the United Kingdom CEO forum has appealed to the Prime Minister to improve the business environment better in India.

According to sources, the UK CEO forum wants simplification of the tax regime for an enhanced business regime.

Besides, the forum has also appealed to the Prime Minister to ensure protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), in addition to changes in defence procurement policy.

They have suggested changes to defence procurement and offset policy to encourage Modi government’s ambitious Make in India programme. The forum has also pushed for the passage of foreign education providers bill.

Notably, Prime Minister Modi is slated to meet business delegates later on first day of his visit to UK.
