ONTARIO: Two men have been arrested and charged with a number of offences under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act after Greater Sudbury Police Service drug enforcement unit officers conducted surveillance.
Police say they witnessed a drug transaction between two men that day in Sudbury, and arrested the men and charged them as a result of it.
Karl Largie, 32, of Sudbury is charged with trafficking a controlled substance and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
Kevin Ross, 33, of Pickering was charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled substance, a single count of possession of property obtained by crime and with obstructing a peace officer.
Further to this investigation, police executed two search warrants under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act and seized a large quantity of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and packaging material.
The value of currency seized was $14,145. The total value of the drugs seized was $9,000.
Largie was on federal parole at the time of this arrest and, as a result, his parole was revoked.
