SIALKOT: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested as many as six notorious human traffickers-turned-proclaimed offenders (POs) from Wazirabad and Gujrat during a major crackdown.
According to Deputy Director FIA Gujranwala Chaudhary Khalid Anees, the accused persons named Suleman, Zulfiqar, Awais, Imran, Amanat Ullah and Sami Ullah had been running a black business of sending the innocent people abroad especially European, African, Middle East countries and Gulf States illegally by extorting big amounts after showing them the golden dreams of their lucid future abroad.
He added that FIA also unearthed a big illegal money exchange in Gujrat and arrested its accused owner Shahid Ali besides recovering big amounts in cash in national and foreign currencies from there.
FIA team also raided at Small Industrial Estate No.2 Gujranwala and unearthed a factory of preparing fake melamine there.
FIA has sent the accused behind the bars after registering separate cases. Further investigations were underway, in this regard.
