NEW JERSEY: After recording an all-time low in online poker revenue in September, New Jersey ipoker sites rebounded in October with $1,913,403, an 8% boost from the previous month’s total of $1,771,123.

The tandem of BorgataPoker.com and Partypoker NJ accounted for $1,079,478 of October’s total, while the WSOP.com and 888poker NJ pairing was responsible for $833,925. Out of the 10 months of 2015 already passed, October ranks 7th in online poker revenue.

When analyzing year-over-year totals, we find revenue from Internet poker down 2.8%. October 2014 saw the two New Jersey networks collect $1,967,905.

PokerStars Still on the Rail

Those two networks can expect to compete only against each other for the time being, as it was learned recently that PokerStars won’t be launching their online poker and gambling offerings in the Garden State anytime soon. Despite receiving approval from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) on September 30 after a long and arduous investigation of parent company Amaya, PokerStars’ triumphant return to the U.S. will not happen until sometime in the first half of 2016.

So said Amaya CEO David Baazov during a conference call on Tuesday, surprising many who were anticipating a launch perhaps as early as January. Software testing may be the reason behind the delay, as the DGE maintains rather high standards with regard to operators of online poker and gaming sites in New Jersey.

New Record for Online Casino Games Revenue

Online casino players in New Jersey propelled revenue to its highest total ever last month at $10,950,532. That total squeaked past the previous high of $10,937,994 set in March of this year.

March 2015 still holds the record for igaming revenue that combines both online poker and casino games. Adding the $2,045,655 collected from ipoker, the banner month saw revenue reach $13,165,623.

October igaming revenue numbers came in at $12,863,935, the second highest amount ever behind March 2015. That total was 7% more than the previous month when New Jersey gaming sites collected $12,025,679 in revenue.

Year-over-year, igaming is up a whopping 35.6%. In October 2014, $9,484,932 was collected.
