MULTAN: Customs Court sends seven smugglers to jail on 15-day judicial remand.

Sources told Customs Today that Anti-Smuggling Organization Multan arrested seven alleged smugglers who were identified as Hazrat Ali, Abdul Latif, Shah Nawaz, Noor Jan, Abdul Wahid, Noor Muhammad and Jaleel Ahmad along with miscellaneous goods and vehicles during an operation a few days ago.

The Customs Investigation and Prosecution Department had taken four days physical remand of the arrested smugglers for investigation. The Customs Investigation and Prosecution Multan branch has also lodged the first Information report against them bearing FIR no.05/2015 on committing smuggling charges.

Customs Special Judge Chaudhry Muhammad Ameer has sent all accused on a 15-day judicial remand after hearing the views of Investigation and Prosecution Multan Customs. Inspector Maqsood and inspector Fayaz attended hearing from Multan Customs side here.

Customs Court sends all seven accused persons on physical remand in custody of Customs Investigation and Prosecution Department for four days on last hearing of 12th November and after four days interrogation alleged smugglers were presented in Customs Court.

Now after directions of Customs Judge all seven alleged accused smugglers will be shifted to Multan District Jail.Customs Court adjourned hearing till next hearing till 1st December, 2015.
