Customs starts crackdown against non-customs paid vehicles

KARACHI: The Karachi Customs intelligence has started a grand operation against non-custom-paid vehicles. In which custom intelligence has recovered several vehicles, it has learnt.

According to details, Directors, officers’ superintendent and high authorities of customs intelligence has decided to start a grand operation against non-custom-paid vehicles, after the order of Mahmood Abbas superintendent of A.S.O department, officers has raided in different areas of Karachi city and recovered several luxury vehicles.

After receiving some credible information regarding the illegal vehicles in Karachi Customs authorities raided on different locations even it established checkpoints at different roads and impound number of vehicles.

Sources further told that Custom impound a Honda accord car recovered from Gulshan-e-Iqbal, another Japanese Honda corolla recovered from Keemari area and Japanese swift which is recovered from Defense phase 2 Karachi.

In this operation Anti smuggling Organization (ASO) department has shown its ability, against crackdown of non-custom-paid vehicles. In this operation superintendant Mahmood Abbas, deputy superintendant Hajji Aslam, Rana Ansram, Parwez Zardari, Amien Bhanwar, Sayed Munwar Ali Shah and others officers of Custom intelligence (A.S.O department) has taken part.
