Recy Systems celebrates 30 years in business with new software

BERLIN: Reycling software specialist Recy Systems has celebrated its 30 years anniversary this year, while at the same time launching the new version Recy 6 of its popular enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.

The current ERP system is used by over 620 global clients in the recycling, waste management as well as metal trading companies, in 43 countries. This includes eight of the 20 largest recycling companies in the world – hence the software was made available in 18 different languages. The new version is based on Microsoft SQL database, .NET platform, and C#, and includes contracts, purchases and sales, retail, inventory management, production, logistics, financials, and customer relations management as well as an electronic archive.

The new version of Recy is free of charge for Recy System’s customers in the scope of a support and maintenance contract. The latest software offers also includes all of the functionality which was programmed especially for each specific user in previous versions. The German software specialist expects all its clients to switch to the new system within the next five years.

The company points out that almost all functionality which is required outside the office will be provided by iRECY apps for smartphones and tablets within the next two years. Much used apps include Mobile Grading, Container Tracking, Telematics, and CRM as well as a special app for electronic recycling companies.
