FBR collects Rs942b up to Nov 17 of FY2015-16

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected Rs 942.2 billion in the term of pure taxes till 17 November during the current financial year 2015-16 while it had collected Rs 803.5 billion during same corresponding of last year showing 17 percent increase.

According to the details, FBR has collected Rs 118.2 billion taxes during first 17 days of November including Rs 34.62 billion income tax, Rs 61.02 billion sales tax, Rs 8.18 federal excise duty (FED) and Rs 14.4 billion customs duty.

On the other hand, FBR has issued Rs 2.8 billion of tax refunds to the taxpayers during the said period, while it issued refunds to the tune of Rs 4.4 billion during last year.
